There are many people everyday that decide that they want to make their money by staying at home and working online. Now this is a great choice and it is definitely possible to do this, but how do you cut away the rubbish to leave you with the prime ways of achieving an online existence? In other words where do you start and who do you trust.

I want to give out a few simple tips that will hopefully steer incoming Internet Entrepreneurs in the right direction. So they find a good start and don't waste their time and money. That is the biggest reason why so many people start and then give up before they even get going, because they bought into something that they don't understand and then don't really get any support to teach them how to master what they have bought.

So how do you avoid this big pitfall?

The best way to start is to search as much as you can for who is giving a lot of information on how to get started with out charging for it, there are many who will give an overview of the basic outlines of starting an online business without charging for it.

Now some people are put off by this as they don't want to give their e-mail address out, which is fine. But there is no real problem, there is a strict policy these days on spamming and most of the time you are completely safe and if you don't like any of the information that you get from the site you surrendered your e-mail to then it is very easy to unsubscribe. So by getting and reading a few free e-books you will start to get the feel of what you actually want to do online to earn your money.

The next step is to find a mentor to learn your business from, now this is the tricky bit, as you will have to spend some money. There are many many out there that will tell you that their system is the best and that they are the best Internet Guru you will find and for a large fee they will show you how it is done.

Be careful, to get on your journey to online success need not cost you a fortune. It is my advice not to spend thousands of Dollars on a system. The reason for this is that a lot of the time these systems will be to advanced for the beginner, you will not understand how they work so therefore not be able to take advantage of them. I am not saying that these systems do not work, but as a beginner you will not understand how they work. It is a hard thing to resist these systems as the marketing of them is so well done, but be strong.

The Best Options:  Try to find a system that is openly targeted at the beginner and that states that it will walk you through how to do everything from the start step by step. These do exist and they are normally by way of membership. This way instead of paying thousands of dollars up front you are going to pay a fraction of that cost on a monthly basis and only for as long as you are a member.

The reason this is better is that you will pay your first month and normally you will be able to tell within that first month whether you have joined a system that will work, so if you quit then you have only lost a few Dollars instead of thousands. The other reason why this is a better way is that you will get ongoing support from your mentor who's system it is and also form other members who are all at different stages of development. You can ask any member normally in a forum that is within the membership site a question if you are stuck at any point.

You will never have to be alone on the most difficult part of your online journey. You will get to know other members and find out how they are doing with the system. This way of learning your business is a lot more transparent and the only way I would recommend.

Then as you progress and you have learned your trade you can then go for any system you like and have half a chance of knowing how to make it work.
